The Lodge:
The common room at Northern Lights Lodge features a rustic knotty pine vaulted ceiling and a large stone fireplace. Eight guest rooms surround the perimeter of the lodge, each accessible from a wrap-around deck with private entrances. Couples are offered cabins at no additional cost.
Cabins:
Northern Lights has seven spacious log cabins ranging from two to eight people. All cabins include wifi, satellite TV, hot water, full kitchens, and private bathrooms with showers. Interiors are finished in knotty pine with large decks overlooking the lodge and Quesnel Lake. All linens, cookware, and utensils are provided.
Dining & Entertainment:
Meals are included with all guided packages. Breakfast and supper are served in the main lodge, lunches on the water. The cooking here is genuine home cooking — guests consistently rate the meals as a highlight of their stay. Complimentary wine and beer are included. A fly tying bench is set up in the common room each evening with vices and materials for guests who want to tie. The property also has a fire pit, picnic tables, adirondack chairs, and a scenic dock on Quesnel Lake. Wifi is available throughout.
Our Story
Northern Lights Lodge was constructed in 1942 on the shoreline of Quesnel Lake — one of the deepest freshwater fjords in the world at over 2,200 feet deep. Built from cedar logs harvested on the property, the lodge has been creating memories for over 60 years. Owners Skeed and Sharon Borkowski have spent 25 years modernizing the facility while preserving its character. The result is a 75% return guest rate that speaks for itself.
